Verification Testing

This involves verifying whether the system under test meets the specified requirements. This is the type of test that confirms if the team is doing thing right, like building the software right by ensuring everything in the requirement documentation is captured.

Validation Testing

This is all about checking whether the system under test will meet user and other stakeholder needs during operation. This part of the testing confirms if the team is doing the right thing, like building the right software. This is usually confirmed when the users are satisfied with their experience on the application.
